  1. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a 7- to 9-quart stockpot over medium-high heat.
  2. When the butter heat then adds the popcorn kernels. Swirl to coat in butter. Cover, lower the heat to medium, Jiggle the pan while the kernels pop.
  3. After 4-5 minutes, once it slows down remove the stockpot from the heat. Jiggle the pot until the popping stops.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the popcorn. Cover, and shake the pot to coat. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over the popcorn. Sprinkle the 2 pinches salt. Cover again and shake the pot. Serve. Enjoy!
